Can there be many Geeks out there that have not encountered Peter David‘s writing in some form or another? After Simon Furman and Joe Michael Stracyznski (JMS) he’s probably my favourite author of all time, loved for his ability to inject wit and genuinely good humour into whatever characters or series he’s writing for, comparable to the God Whedon.
However, the man who wrote fan-favourite Star Trek novel, Imzadi, suffered a stroke last week! He’s recovering, slowly, but is being kept under constant observation in hospital. Best wishes, Peter!
